CEF staff trains the students in how to lead a child to Christ in two sessions. The Chinese Bible Church has two excellent college students who take charge of further training and all of the details with the help other active youth. With the help of the young people’s parents this has been a very successful outreach. The Montgomery County CEF committee also spends some time visiting the booth to encourage the workers.
Last year they were able to share the message with 1,958 children with leading 135 children to the Lord. This year the fair is scheduled for August 8-16, 2008 and preparation has already begun!
We are praying for young people (or older) individuals who are burdened to teach the Word of God to children and willing
to serve as a summer missionary. Training school is a concentrated time of preparation as the candidates study and give back what they have learned. The “Teaching Children Effectively™” level one course is taught to the “first time” missionaries and the returning missionaries have advanced classes as they also prepare to teach the 5-Day Club material during the first week. Many serve as Camp Counselors during the second week. Teaching a 5-Day Club and being a camp counselor has made an eternal difference in the lives of many children who have attended.
This is a summer job or it can be used for community service credit. Applications are available on line or call the local CEF office.
Locations and hosts for 5-Day Clubs are now being scheduled for the weeks of:
- July 7-12
- July 14-19
- July 21-26
- July 28- August 1
- August 4-8
- August 11-15
Three to four clubs are scheduled per day at different places somewhere within a 15-20 minute driving distance. –

Host a Club:
Do you have a front porch, a yard, a garage, a patio – any place you can gather the neighborhood children? For just one hour (maybe a little longer) a day for five days!!! A great opportunity for you and the children. It is opportunities like this that will make an eternal difference in the children’s life! You provide the place and invite the children. We provide the team of young people (or adults) to teach the children God’s Word. You may serve light refreshment – this is optional.
