Praise God for a successful summer!!

In the space of one week of 5-Day clubs in Southern Maryland, we held 5 clubs per day and reached over 70 children with the Gospel...including about 40 children who don't attend church regularly! This was quite possibly the first time some of these children got to hear the name of Jesus spoken in love instead of anger. Take a peak below to see some of the clubs in action:

As exciting (and busy!) as it was to teach 5 clubs a day, that wasn't even the half of our week in Southern Maryland. We spent part of our "non-teaching" time cultivating the way for our fall ministry...the after-school Good News Club.

The results of that work are fantastic! It is possible to have as many as 5 public elementary schools open in Charles County THIS FALL, as well as at least 1 in St. Mary's County as well.

Not to be left out, some of the people of Calvert County are interested in starting Good News Clubs in some of thier public elementary schools, too, but those contacts are newer in developing, so it is hard to say when they might blossom into ministry.

In order for our ministry in Southern Maryland to succeed, we need people ages 14 on up who would be available one day a week right after the Elementary schools let out to teach or help in a local After School Good News Club.
