What could be more exciting than being an advocate for children learning God’s Word?
“Little children can savingly believe, and our Lord made it our duty as believers to bring them to Christ for salvation.” Rev. J. Irvin Overholtzer, CEF Founder
We will tell the next generation the praise-worthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. Psalm 78:4
OUR CHILDREN ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE
Young people are facing unprecedented challenges in public schools and in our culture. God and His Word were taken out of our schools in 1963 and generations of children have been indoctrinated with the message that “God is irrelevant” and “truth is subjective”. As a result, over 80% of children will never attend a church service. Moral and spiritual values have deteriorated, and schools are now dealing with problems such as bullying, school shootings, bad behavior, lack of respect for authority, suspen-sions, anger, theft, conflict management and a host of other issues. Further, thousands of today’s children are fearful, insecure, confused and are dealing with feelings of hopelessness. In the midst of these challenges, children and their schools need some Good News!
THE GOOD NEWS
On June 11, 2001 the Supreme Court issued a decision that opened the door of opportunity for every public elementary school to have a Good News Club® meeting on campus after school. Since that ruling, in partnership with local churches and individuals, CEF has more than 63,200 GNC in the USA. Over 4,700 children are learning about God and His Word each week through more than 100 Good News Clubs in Maryland. We know that the most critical time for children to receive Jesus as Savior is between the ages of five to twelve.
OUR CHILDREN NEED ADVOCATES
What is an advocate?
An advocate is one who acts or intercedes on behalf of another—a defender, a champion.
WHO IS A CEF ADVOCATE?
Advocate Club members are those who have purposed to give monthly to the ministries of Child Evangelism Fellowship, interceding on behalf of children in Good News Clubs and other CEF ministries. They are sustaining on-going financial partners who desire to see more children reached with the Gospel and become strong in their faith.
“Some plant, some water, but it is God who gives the increase.”
What a wonderful truth it is, that they who plant and they who water are one—laboring together with God.
We hope you will join the Advocates Club and become a sustaining partner today!

“I attended Good News Club with my child and heard that God loves me and that Jesus died for my sin. When the invitation was given, I asked Jesus to be my Savior.” – GNC Parent

CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP® MISSION
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, to disciple them and to establish them in a local church for Christian living.
A local elementary school teacher shared with us a story about a young boy in her class who was always in some kind of trouble—visiting the principal’s office at least once a week. Not long after attending Good News Club he asked Jesus to be his Savior. The teacher reported that his grades and behavior improved dramatically. “About the worst thing he does now is to yell across the room to his friend, asking him if he has memorized his Bible verse for Club.”
“I thought I was too old to serve in Good News Club. No one is ever too old to love a child to Christ.” – A Volunteer
The quoted stories and statistics share, in part, the unique mission and ministries of Child Evangelism Fellowship. Here is how you can help share in our passion for reaching children and their families with the Gospel of Christ.
