   Report of Summer Missionary Outreach this Summer

These summer missionaries reached 1567 children during June - August as they taught 88 5-Day Clubs®. There were 175 reported professions of faith.
 
Many people gave to the missionaries accounts so they were able to receive a salary for their hard work in teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ and His love for the children. We thank those who gave
 
On July 26 friends and family joined us to hear the testimonies of the missionaries. Several shared how they had grown in the Lord during the summer by actively living out the truths they were teaching the children. Some parents had tears in their eyes as they heard how God had impacted and worked in the life of their teens.  
 
If you would like to serve next year read on:
A candidate should be a spiritually growing believer with a heart for reaching lost children for the Lord.
  
Applications will be accepted from:
     • Adults who have the time available for training and
         additional time to help with the club program
     • College students
     • High school students
     • Junior high students, 14+ years old

   Candidates must complete the
Summer Missionary Application which includes signing the Child Evangelism Fellowship® Statement of Faith and Doctrinal Protection Policy without reservation, complete the Screening Forms, and be approved by the leadership of Child Evangelism Fellowship® of MD, Inc. Summer Missionary Training

  This is a summer job and your salary is determined by your age and years of service.

Cost for the two weeks of Summer Missionary Training School, teaching materials, and all related expenses will be $625.00, this can be raised through your Church, friends and family by sending out letters. CEF will help provide copies of support letters and remittance envelopes or they can donate through the web site.
All support is tax-deductible.

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maryland

  Approved candidate will be given 25 letters by their local director or the state office to send to churches and friends to help raise support. Included with this letter each candidate will write a personal letter of intent. A prayer card will be prepared to be given to each prayer partner.

 Training Dates-

  Each candidate must attend the pre-training session to be held at the State Office on Saturday, June 13, 2009 and the two weeks of overnight training held at Camp Hidden Valley, June 21-July 3, 2009.

Returning missionaries have the option to serve as camp counselors during the second week.

Missionaries have found this training to be helpful for the rest of their lives.

Evangelism 
   Missionaries
teach 5-Day Clubs®Summer Missionary Training Evangelism - which are evangelistic, neighborhood Bible clubs for children ages 4-12.
Clubs are Conducted from Monday through Friday for one week in 3-4 locations  wherever children can be gathered.


Responsibilites include:

  • Teaching a dynamic Bible lesson packed with the life-saving power of the gospel!
  • Inviting the unsaved child to believe!
  • Encouraging the saved child to grow in faith!
  • Sharing exciting mission stories from around the world!
  • Delivering the peace, power and assurance of Bible memory verses in unforgettable ways!
  • Learning a new collection of awesome songs and exciting review games!

5-Day Clubs® are only one of the many opportunities that CEF® offers to reach children for Christ! We also have fair ministries, camp ministries, and open air ministries.
